V-Ray doesn`t render components or groups!? please help

If i render scene with components (i have trees as components in my urbanscene) it does not render these components.
When i explode them, it renders it.
Is it possible to render it without exploding it?

Components and groups have had some serious issues in the past, and we still have some problems with them in certain situations. What version of SketchUp are you using? What version of V-Ray for SketchUp are you using? If you haven't tried the latest version (V-Ray for SketchUp SR1 RC2), you might want to give it a shot.

I also had problems with groups..they become rendered if they were kubic forms. When i exploded the render was normal.

Using new vray and sketchup 6.0.515.

Hi revalucia...

the reason a component or a group does not get rendered is... either the group contains multiple groups inside itself, or the texture (sketchup texture) is applied from outside the group. if u have a problem with groups no rendering, explode the group n regroup it again. i had the same problem... but works fine now.

Sketchup has changed a lot of their exposed functionallity in the latest version (6.4.112). We recommend using the latest version of SketchUp when you use the latest version of our product (V-Ray for SketchUp SR1 RC2). You should be able to render nested groups and components in the latest version.

try assigning materials to a components without exploding it. then render again.. maybe it will works.. just give a try
